NASCAR drivers and their sunglasses

We have had quite a few people contact us regarding what brand of sunglasses NASCAR drivers wear. Most of the NASCAR market is covered by high-end brands, such as Oakley, Electric and Wiley X. One thing you must remember is that these drivers are paid to wear certain brands of sunglasses via high-dollar endorsements and free swag. The most common question we have received is: What kind of sunglasses does Joey Logano wear? As always, we would like to keep you up to tune with true NASCAR fashion!
Joey Logano, Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, David Ragan and Aric Almirola are just a few of the drivers that are sponsored by WileyX.

Some drivers have their own signature specially-made Oakley branded frames. A few of them include: Kasey Kahne, Ricky Carmichael, Juan Pablo Montoya, Tony Stewart, Jamie McMurray, Brian Vickers, Elliot Sadler and J.J. Yelley.

Last year both Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Martin Truex Jr. were sponsored by Spy Optic Sunglasses but I couldn't find confirmation that it continued through 2009.

One of the most noticed pair of sunglasses in the NASCAR garage would be those of Kyle Busch. Kyle sports his oversize Electric frames by leaving the plastic sticker on the lens. He is also the only driver sponsored by Electric. If I were a NASCAR driver, I would hope that Chanel or Tom Ford would sponsor me. That would be heaven!

Runway Monday

Today's edition of Runway Monday will be different from the previous posts. I came across Avelle.com which is the old bagborroworsteal.com. With my purse addiction, it may not surprise you that I have known about Bag Borrow for quite some time. What's shocking is that I have not used their services, My main reason being that I have separation anxiety from my possessions. The thought that I would fall in love with a bag that I was wasting money to "borrow" that I'd have to send back made me ill. Fear no more, they are offering a new service where now, a high percentage of your "rental" fees go towards the purchase of your bag.

It's freaking genius. I probably wouldn't be sitting here with my impractical Chanel bag (which I never carry and it cost more than my mortgage payment) if this option was available a few years ago. I wonder if the Aarons Dream Machine would like to pick Avelle up as a co-sponsor? I can see Michael Waltrip doing commercial spots for them now. Someone please stop me....

So now, I would like to introduce you to the Louis Vuitton Tivoli PM handbag, which I am considering to add to my purse collection. It's like high end layaway!

Paige Premium Denim offers free movie tickets to Confessions of a Shopaholic

Nothing is better than finding a great pair of jeans. Since you have to wear long pants in the pits, one of the most common Nacar fashions for women is designer jeans. Throughout the four seasons that I have been doing this whole Nascar thing, I ended up with a severe jean addiction. Looking in my closet makes me sick, thinking of all the small countries I could feed off of the net-worth of my supply of designer jeans. One of my top 5 favorite designers, Paige Premium Jeans, is offering free movie tickets (while supplies last) to see Confessions of a Shopaholic, which happens to be one of my favorite books. All you have to do is try on a pair of its movie themed jeans, "Paigeaholic" at Bloomingdales or a Paige Premium Denim store. My favorite part of these jeans is that it has a hidden credit card pocket. Girls, you can go out of the house with a credit card and he will never know! Nascar, Nascar, Nascar.....why????

I saw something tonight that made my eyes bleed, then after I regained vision and nearly died of laughter, I felt I must share. I stumbled across Nascar shoes....yes....Nascar shoes. Not only do they have the Nascar label and full endorsement; they are hideous. Track Lizard's, Track Bunny's, whatever animal you want to be this week, line it up. Its your time to shine. Oh, and they are 1/2 off at Sears!! Dear god help us all. If you don't believe me, please visit sears.com and check out the Nascar shoes....swear to you, I am not lying. Paging...ahem... Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik and my favorite wallet drainer, Christian Louboutin.....HELP....anyone?? Hello??? I guess not.....

Fashionista Friday

This past Saturday, while Darlynn and I were watching College Football, drinking a few too many beers, we decided to converse with the boys in Louden. I don't really remember how the conversations went but one thing we know for sure is that it was cold it was up there. This made me a little sad since it is so damn hot in FL but it showed a glimmer of hope....Fall is upon us which means we are that much closer to breaking out our winter wardrobe! All 3 of the Fashionistas are Floridians and we are all equally obsessed with winter clothing. If you were to look in my closet, you would think I resided in Maine with my 20 coats, Boots galore and 11 pairs of Ugg's (I am not exaggerating and I have no idea how I have so many).

3 years ago, the style of knee high boots over skinny jeans became a hit. In fact, it became very popular with the Nascar Wives and Girlfriends. It is such a great look, even today, three years later. Although I love the look, I personally don't like wearing heals on pit road. Well, this has all changed. I found these fabulous Kenneth Cole boots on piperlime.com, which I intend on purchasing for this winter. They come in black, brown and tan and they are only $159!!!!

Cute pit road shoes

Having to wear closed toe shoes on pit row can really be...well, the pits. You want to maintain comfort yet maintain style. It causes me headaches when I plan my outfit for race day. Sneakers can be too frumpy and wearing heals for long periods of time can be very uncomfortable. Not to mention 1/2 of my jeans are made for either tall or short heals. So, I want to thank the fashion gods for keeping ballerina flats instyle this year! My favorite brand is Tory Burch. Her Patent Croc Reva Ballet Flat are the cutest style that she has come up with. If I weren't on shopping restriction, I would buy them today! If flats are not your style, she also makes a Patent Sophie Wedge that happens to be equally to die for.

This years "it" jeans

This years "it" jeans on pit row are William Rast, Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala's line. Designer jeans have been a staple on pit row and the trend is growing more and more each year. I have noticed many drivers and wives/girlfriends flaunting the lastest style of Willam Rast. I love this style and it will be the next addition to my jean collection.
