Hal Marchman who was delivered the invocation for the Daytona 500 for almost 50 years died on Sunday in Daytona Beach. He was a friend and spiritual guide to many people in NASCAR and was instrumental in starting Stewart Marchman Center here in Daytona, which is a treatment center for drug and alcohol abuse. Daytona Beach News Journal has a lovely write up which can be found here. Photo from newsjournalonline.com
